“When it came to size the Crown was somewhere between a Lexus LS and ES”
Yeah, because it’s the same chassis as the GS, you dolts.
To answer your question, I’d say an already-manual-swapped twin turbo Aristo. Then I’d have both generations.

You mean the 15 year rule? Canada FTW.
As for your question, the Renault Avantime.

I’ll trade my Twingo for a big American barge if anyone’s into it. A Crown Vic, or an old 80s Caddy.

Still one year too early for the Cerbera, it seems.
Other than that, perhaps a Falcon EL, though it’s not really screaming for import it’s something different.
Off that list, either the MG F or the Crown.

I have found a few “affordable” in “questionable” countries. Since the 02 I have been scouring Europe for a cheap Alfa GTV, Lancia, More bimmers etc...
Prices are all over the map but the direct correlation is the cheapest cars are in the countries where you’ll have the most trouble getting them out. Also, the highest likelihood of being swindled with no recourse...
For a car like the RS2 I’d have to do business in person.
An E34 wagon just went 40 on BaT, that’s a lot more than my desire for one.

15 year rule in Canada FTW! For me? 2nd-gen FIAT Panda 4x4 Cross:
Would make the perfect daily for Canadian winter! I like small cars, so it’s small. FWD all year meaning efficient, selectable 4x4 in the winter when you need it, and it looks cool and is practical and nippy! :P
Also, I’ve always really loved the Alfa 146 they list, especially the rear end styling....so crisp. And if I really wanted a convertible, Miata be damned because I also really love the Barchetta...

Sounds about right on the RS2.
On the E34, I’d have to say it’s not worth the premium over a regular one, which can still be found in acceptable condition for under $5k. Still a nice driver with manual.

Random question time: in Canada we can import at 15 years... but importing between Canada and the US is treated differently than other countries. If I import a 15-24 year old car here, could someone from the US then buy it from me for legal usage south of the border?

Of all the things, they just had to choose a 406. I mean, I don’t mind because I own one, but the Sedan/Break are about as Honda Accord as a european car can get. Does everything well, looks nice and is cheap to run. But hey, the 406 is less susceptible to rust than a Honda, so thats a plus.

I really want to try out an Audi RS6 Avant when they hit a Canadian dealer.

Ah. I’m not too savvy with my Holden (or really any foreign Ute) models. I just knew they made some.

Probably less hassle to fly to Europe, buy an RS6, put it on the boat to Halifax, and drive it home than it would be to get a Canadian dealer to hand you the keys to a RS6 for a test drive.
